Rick, I don't use a master link on my fixed but only because it's equipped with an old road chain. Master links on 1/8" chain shouldn't have any strength deficiency, after all Regina and Sedis track chains used to be packaged with them, and not even sprinters had problems with them coming apart.

OK, since the List is so quiet and everyone except me apparently went to the Cirque, I have a question. What is the consensus about using a master link on a fixed gear chain? Somebody say something.
