Reading about the early days of chroming is making me think about restoration. Mark talked about having the BB shell left chrome. Has anyone done this, and do you have pictures? I've seen lots of bikes with chrome stays and lugs but the BB shell has always been painted. Chrome was really standard on bikes until the late-80's when it got really expensive and the enviroment started becoming an issue with people other than tree-hugging hippies. Anymore I hear and see a lot more nickle plating and very little actual chrome plating with the copper under coating. Has anyone had a frame rechromed lately? How much did it cost? and do you think it's as good as the "old" chrome? enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman'Ives aka tree-huggin chrome lover
