This is just a general enquiry, but does anyone have experience of shipping a Tandem to/from the UK & US ?. I can see it clearly enough for a solo machine, but a Tandem. What I'm looking for is the best method to send one over the pond with the least amount of damage......and at a reasonable enough cost. (all the Flying Scot's used to be shipped worldwide in wooden crates that weighed more than the bikes - and these were all solo's)
The story behind it is that I have the chance of selling an all original 30's Claud Butler tandem and need to start doing some research on likely shipping methods/costs before I do it.
Anyone on the list ever shipped one out in the past ?
