The Columbiar and Schwinnr balloon tire replicas were pretty cool.

You can buy a complete, replica 1948 Harley-Davidsonr Panheadr as a kit for about $15,000, not to mention replica Whizzersr.

The bug is back, Triumphr has a retro 60s bike, Harleyr has always been retro, Aprilliar is selling an updated Vespar-type thingie like hotcakesx.

The PTr Cruiserr is a '49 Chevyr sedan delivery on steroids...

At the car show I went to last weekend (love those hotrods) they were selling replica Shelbyr Cobrasr made in South Africa: about $32,000 for the body, interior and chassis assembled. You add the motor and transmission. There was a woman showing one who just took delivery of hers, hadn't even driven it yet, a $100,000. investment, ready to race.

"All I had to do was write a check" she said. I said "no, first you had to put the money in the bank."

If there's a market that will pay the price, why not.

Tedr, still haven't hit the lottery in Berkeleyx, but if I did I'd restore more bicycles and Harleysr and get one of those beanie hats with a propeller on top and put baseball cards back in my spokes.
