No, being an old f _ _t, I remember those turn of events (although the exact month and year escape me!) The first bunch of SR rears had Ti pivot bolts and then, a year or two into production, there was a alleged Ti shortage that saw new "Ergal" top and bottom bolts appear on the SR rears.

At the time, I heard inside the Industry that Campagnolo was trying to scrimp a little and thought the aluminum bolts would work fine, get pass the enthusiasts and save them a few beans. I have no idea if that was true, but in a year or so, the Ti bolts reappeared. All this should have been in around 1978ish?
