Subject: [CR]Campy Large Flange Saved!

I rushed into Old Town Cyclery, cradling my stricken NR Large Flange hub with the horrid freewheel growth clinging to its side.

Sarah, ace bike doctor, was scrubbed up and ready to attempt the sprocketectomy. She took my stricken baby from me and wheeled it into the operating theater, behind the swinging doors in the rear of the shop. I wrung my hands and sweated bullets, pacing the floor. She was just a baby, a beautiful HF Campy hub, and she didn't deserve anything like this!! Oh, what if they can't save her, what if she never knows the thrill again of racing down the road, leaning into a corner, high pressure tire humming over the tarmac---

After the longest 90 seconds of my life, Sarah emerged and handed me 7 freewheel cogs, and a gorgeous hub now ready to be built.

Thanks to all the consulting detectives on the list who helped. Come up to Parkville some day and I'll show you some nice roads. You'll know me, I'll be riding the high flange wheels.
