Subject: [CR]Hetchins on ebay

Greetings

I have enjoyed the forum for a few weeks and am guilty of lurking. In an effort to spice things up, I have a question.

I received the following response from the seller of a Hetchins on Ebay when I asked what the serial number of the bike is. My question is, why? Is the serial number of the bike unique enough to increase prices?

"Hello The serial No is on the Hetchins and can be fully verified by the register, but I have had emails from people who are intending to bid asking me not to reveal the number, seems a little strange, because of this I am guaranteing that the numbers tally ! and as this bike has been owned by a hethins organiser, I can certify it is very genuine. I do not no there reason but would not like to upset anyone including yourself at this stage. As I say its been totaly checked out and totaly original. Many Thanks."

Thanks
