For the record, Warren, I was on my Raleigh 531C Prestige, and one of the reasons I have trouble on the hills (gasping) is because I still insist on a regular fast cadence, but my low gear is only 42/19. Unfortunately I am not powerful enough and I really need a 42/24. About five months ago I saw a 70's Benotto in my 54 cm size and it was all Campy NR. The paint was a little crummy but it was a beautiful robins blue and white. The price $500.00 and it needed hoods, paint, cables, tires, tape, etc. In retrospect it seems like not too bad a deal.
