Subject: [CR]Gios not in Brooklyn Blue

I've acquired what appears at face value to be a late 80's Gios frame (61cm c-t)- see http://freespace.virgin.net/bob.reid1/notascot.htm - there are a couple of issues that I have with it, that I'd like opinions on. ;

- It's bright red, not Brooklyn blue.

- It's perhaps short of the Gios-Torino top tube panel.

- There is no Columbus decal (I don't know that it is Columbus tubing).

- The head tube decal has been placed over the already drilled head tube.

- (perhaps) worst of all, the fork steerer is stamped "Taiwan" - these day's yes, but in the late 80's - a repair replacement ?

Opinions or comment sought ! on this otherwise lovely looking frame - I know it's 4 years past the CR list remit of 85' but it does have classic looks......oh and it's steel and it has lugs !

Does anyone have a Gios catalog from the late 80's or any idea what model this is / was ?
