Howdy Gang,

I will recount a meeting with Richard Schwinn almost three years ago, at which the topic of "rust prevention" came up. Of course Richard was responding to some concerns from the audience about the vulnerability of steel frames, relative to rust, since that was/is the only material Waterford is using.

Richard asked how many of us had actually seen a rusted out frame? No one answered they had, and he added that he had seen old Huffy's, etc. out "behind the barn....." where they have rested for years and years, and hadn't rusted out.

He also did not think it was a problem to be concerned about, but of course, for "insurance" Waterford will treat your new frame with J.P. Weigle's Framesaver.

My $ 0.02; "An once of prevention..........", especially if you ride your bicycle in all kinds of weather!!!!
