I may be dreaming it, but that picture of a Rally with NR outer parallelogram rings a bell - I'm thinking that IS original, and maybe the very first Rally derailleurs came that way, before ones that said Rally.
Don't take my word for it, my recollection is very fuzzy.
That NR-branded one in the pic is a first generation though, without the extra metal under the top pivot that was added later.
