Subject: [CR]3 Rensho for sale

Fellow Classicists:

While in Durango last week, I found a 3 Rensho road bike for sale at a place called Second Gear: they sell used sports equipment. Sorry, I don't have the phone number.

The bike is a 56 c/c, I think, and is that dark metallic blue/purple in color particular to Renshos. The frame has some rust at the brake cable guides on the top tube and the paint is scratched and marred in places. The decals are there, but starting to peel. It has a Dura Ace gruppo (7400?) that appears to have had much less use than the frame. Rims are Arc en ciel with worn tires and appear to be of little value, as are the seatpost, saddle, stem and bars. I noted no crash damage.

This is definitely not a showpiece, but at the $300 asking price (offer $200-225: it's been there for a while) it's a definite buy. If it were a 57 or 58 I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

I bought a used Trek from them last year and they shipped it for me so I'm certain they would take a phone order.

I have absolutely no relation to the seller: I just hate to see this one consigned to oblivion.

Caveat emptor and good luck,
