I've read the replies to my original question and the follow-ups about the
head lugs. I've post new photos of the lugs and a photo of the bottom
bracket shell.
As you can see from the photo, I've taken the paint down to metal where the
number should be, nothing. Now it could be somewhere else on the bb, but
there are no indentations giving any hint as to where it would be. Please
