Hi, I'm a new 53 year old member old enough to know better but I don't.
I have always loved to ride since I owned my first Gresham Flyer 3 speed lightweight when I was 12. Then I saw my first derailleur racing bike and I was hooked. Something about somebody in the track position at a stop light on a racing bike that set me off. I never looked back. My first and second 'racing' bikes were early 70s gas pipe Gitanes. CHEEEEP. I got in to a Raleigh Technium Pro in 1988 (which I still ride and am convinced it will never become unglued) and have drastically upgraded it with Suntour Superbe Pro components and other period things. I picked up an old Campy NR upgraded 1977 Peugeot PX10LE that I ride regularly. By favorite is a 1989 Peugeot Team issue with made with Columbus SL tubing, built in France and painted in Canada by ProCycle (CCM). This is a marvelous bike. Components are Campy SR, C-Record, and Chorus (a hodge podge, but it's the greatest). Hanging in the garage is a 1960s vintage Philips 3-speed light weight, pretty original with a rack that I use to pick up beer. Thanks to Eric Elman for turning me on to this group.
More Armstrong....ride like the wind,
Carl Gonzalez
