<html> <DIV> <P><BR><BR>I think that the club special mud guard (fenders to you Americans) were more of a 50's 60's period item than a 30's My 1939 copy of Claud Butlers cycling equipment shows Blumels Noweight Celuloid guards as well as Mavic alloy guards but no club specials. I honestly think that they are a little too late for your machine. But they really look very nice.As for your pricing I guess that would be about right. I recently sold a pair of 50's Le fol hammered aluminium guards for £20.00 </P> <P>Regards,</P> <P>John</P></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>>From: "Troy Warnick"<TWAR@HOTMAIL.COM> <DIV></DIV>>To: classicrendezvous@bikelist.org <DIV></DIV>>Subject: [CR]Bluemels club special mudguard questions <DIV></DIV>>Date: Fri, 19 Jan 2001 10:52:54 -0800 <DIV></DIV>> <DIV></DIV>>Hello all, <DIV></DIV>>I will ask this question again since the Sturmey-Archer hub question <DIV></DIV>>might <DIV></DIV>>have stolen the attention away from it. Thanks for all of the <DIV></DIV>>replies. I <DIV></DIV>>would like to know when the Bluemels mudguards were first <DIV></DIV>>manufactured. <DIV></DIV>>Especially the "Club Special" model, and any others that are known. <DIV></DIV>>I am <DIV></DIV>>particularly interested in the ones made from "celuloid". I would <DIV></DIV>>be <DIV></DIV>>interested as to how much money these fenders would be expected to <DIV></DIV>>bring if <DIV></DIV>>priced fairly. I have located a limited source of NOS blue and red <DIV></DIV>>ones and <DIV></DIV>>am considering making an offer in the interest of reselling them. I <DIV></DIV>>am <DIV></DIV>>thinking they should bring $30 a set without hardware. Does this <DIV></DIV>>sound <DIV></DIV>>correct? Any interest? Thanks very much. <DIV></DIV>> <DIV></DIV>>Best Regards, <DIV></DIV>>Troy Warnick in sunny?
