In 1982 I purchased a 400 series Trek bicycle for my girlfriend Ann in San Francisco. It was a silvery sparkled color and is easily recognized by its Suntour Blue Line derailleurs. It was stolen by breaking out the rear window of a Ford Pinto, parked on the "rough end" of Haight street. The approximate date of the theft was December of 1982. Although it has been quite a few "months" since the unfortunate incident, and I no longer speak to Ann, I would still like to have the bike back. Also, I don't have any records of the serial number, nor do I have a receipt. However I would know it if I saw it. If you have seen this bike being ridden around San Francisco, please tell the possibly illegitimate owner that it may be mine. Garth, still able to smile, Libre
