I believe these were stock on Peugeot U08's, and possibly other similar models. I have one that is practically new, taken off a U08. It sounds the same, very hard leather. It's pretty narrow. I suspect these are a lower grade saddle, certainly not in the same league as an Ideale 90. Dan Goldenberg

Hello all. I have been trying to find some information on a saddle I have. It's an Ideale No. 39. I have seen the Ideale 90, but this one's a bit different. It's similar to the Brooks Pro style, but has nickel rivets, and a couple of saddlebag loops on the back -- and it's black. It is pretty stiff, and much less broken-in than my Brooks Pro and Team Pros are. Any knowledge of this model? Is it appropriate on a '75 Motobecane Le Champion?

Thanks,

Andy Grout
