I am restoring an old Mercier 200 and the chrome on the Fork and Stays needs some attention. The chrome is cleaning up okay with #0 steel wool and several applications of Brasso. However, there is some minor pitting that is being rather bothersome. Should I try any rubbing compounds or polishes with mild abrasives? Has anbody ever used a product called Flitz successfully? Any suggestions on products or methods? Thanks. Contact me off list please.
