Hello, I'm back from heavily fortified Paris. All the train stations were patrolled by armed military guards. They even evacuated a waiting room at a Paris station while I was waiting for a train. Went to the Singer shop and saw some fine eye-candy. Most of the used Singers were set up w/ the late model Mafac Comp brakes and misc. campy equipment. Did Singer buy out the Mafac factory or what?
My favorite bike was a little red 753 racing model w/ chrome lugs. Also saw an amazingly long sharp spear-point lug touring model. The lugs were chrome and the seat tube spear-point lug extended high up the seat post. Dale, I would have bought it for you, but the lugs were so sharp and pointy that it could have been considered a terrorist weapon. I didn't even bother to ask the price!!! Scott
