I had a great time at the t-town swap! There is nothing like walking into a velodrome full of all these metals, textures, designs, shapes, wheels......... It's like an outdoor gallery.

There were some nice purchases. Bare in mind that I am new to the passion and have yet to have that "I don't need it for that price" feeling. I bought a nice little 39cm racing road bike for my 8 year old daughter. A not-so-earthshattering Giant Cabriolet frame spec'd with 8 speed 105 STI, custom 50 cranks and a real race wheelset. I also bought a wonderful vintage Brooks swallow saddle (thanks Roy and Dale!). I found several decent wool jerseys and Protog wool tights as well as a small Campy aero water bottle and cage (thanks Walt!). I also picked up a nice Miyata 60cm frame for Tom Witkop (you haven't seen it yet, Tom.) Ask Larry Black to post his purchases. We found some great bikes for him. There was an interesting early Gary Fisher and Cinelli that we "snoozed on" and lost. There were also many nice track bikes to pick from.

Roy, Chris, Walt, Pete, Wayne, Larry, Marty, and others all were very kind in helping each other find things. The folks on this list are really nice people!

While there was nothing there as vintage and nice as what you'd find at Dale's stellar "Cirque" - it was fun.

OK, guys. Make me rue not having attended the swap meet at Trexlertown yesterday. Who got what for next to nothing?

I've got to do something about my daughter's school's annual fall fair falling on that date AGAIN.
