There was a time around 1975 when I used my bicycle as transportation in going to work . This doesn't happen often in construction. There was a dog along my route that liked to case me each day as I rode by. On day, after I had made the trip for several weeks, I decided to ride the trike. As I approached his house Fido came out to do his thing. He was apparantly focused, in his attacks on me, on my foot and the pedall as they made their circular motion. He moved in for the kill, I readied my tire pump, the moment of truth approached as I prepared to swing. But then there was a yip and a howl as the left rear wheel made contact with various parts of his anatomy. Fido disappeared quickly and I never saw him again whether on the trike or my bike. And that's the truth.
