And the cheap alternative is a metric thread-repair file. Mine cost $12 and has surfaces from .5mm pitch to 2.0mm. Of course, the 1.0mm gets all the use and the end it isn't on might as well be wrapped with tape for a handle. I've saved lots of axles and a couple of steerers with it. David Feldman
