That's an easy one. To generalize, many of us want the bikes we had when we were younger. That is, in my opinion, the reason for the PX-10 thing. And we also want the guitars we played when we were in our high school bands, and the guitars we saw on the music store wall. But now we're in our 40s and 50s and have the money to buy them. Thus the high Stratocaster prices. And the high Jaguar prices, which can't be justified on the ability of the instrument (I was a Gibson man). Large body Gibsons, Martins and rarer stuff like D'agustinos are works of art by themselves. And now that we have the dough, we're buying them. I believe Grant Hadley has seen the light and most of his business is classic guitars. Phil Brown
