Subject: [CR]Homebrew Ultra six freewheels

In spite of my best efforts to modernize into the late '70's when everything was converted to six speed spacing, I still find myself possessed of a couple of five speed frames. This wasn't a problem 20 years ago, when you could get a wide variety of Suntour Ultra six freewheels.

But alas, now Ultra sixes appear only occasionally on ebay, are occasionally stocked by vintage parts dealers, and usually are narrow range racing types.

So I was wondering if there are any current 7 speed freewheels out there that can be converted into an ultra six. In particular, I look at the Shimano Mega Range seven speed units, and wonder if you could ditch the 34 tooth cog and use the remaining 14-24 as an ultra freewheel? Or is there any modern seven speed freewheel out there that can be converted? Anyone succeeded in turning the trick?
