Well, it had to happen after reading all the stories of dumpster finds in this list...my first one. It is not an exceptional ride, a Trek 520, Reynolds 501 with suntour ARX/cyclone der's, maillaird helicomatic, simplex retofriction levers, SR super custom triple and dia compe brakes. What is remarkable is that I just kinda blew the dust off and it has almost never been ridden. Cool, even my size. Hard to imagine that they were just going to throw it away at the goodwill shop when they have all the Huffies for sale on the floor. Oh well. Is there anyone who can give an idea of the age? It is metallic blue with only the seat tube band decal that says Trek. I know it may not qualify as a classic but I am just tickled.
I am also looking for a pair of Weinmann gum hoods for a Peugeot Competition that I am finishing. Any help would be appreciated.
