I sold that early 50's Peugeot Mixte bike to a gentleman in NJ for $450 last year. I have seen a simular bike in a National Geographic on Tahiti circa 1952. I believe I offered it to the list before I put it on EBAY $200 no reserve and got no bids. Then I relisted a few months later and got one Japanese bidder who wanted to buy it directly from me. I said I wanted $400 to end the auction before bidding started. He decided he wanted it for less. He was out bid at the last second by this New Jersey guy and then was furious at me accusing me of tipping off the other buyer???? EBAY always confounds me, I have seen an Ideale saddle in fair condition go for about $200 then I list a NOS one and it fails to meet my $200 reserve. I see a fair to poor Cinelli SC go for $2700 and I sell a nice one the next week for $2500. I put a complete bike in excellent condition with a Steel Campy Sport crank on and get bids to $127 while at the same time an auction for the crank alone is being bid to $140? I need an EBAY coach, I guess I am not much of a salesman. It will hurt if the bidding goes really high on this, but it is an interesting bike and he has replaced the fender lights and added the fender stringing which were not there when I sold it. To All,

I'm not the seller of this current Peugeot. My web page is linked to the sale. I kind of wish it was mine. This looks like a mixte version of the 1955 PLX 8 that sold several months ago for approx 1700.00.
