What would be recommended for removing nasty old spray paint from what is probably anodized duraluminum? The Stronglight mod. 93s on my Raleigh Gran Sport have some big splotches - but the unpainted sections shine up pretty well with Mother's Aluminum Polish, and I bet a final session with Nevr-Dull would make them stunning ...
.. or at least as stunning as any Stronglight cranks can look when they're on a bike with this many overlapping coats of brown housepaint, blue Krylon, black Rustoleum and silver rattle-canned mist over the remaining white and lagoon blue paint. Between the paint and the missing headbadge, I think this bike was used as a training device for a school for bicycle thieves - "your exercise today is to steal this nice Raleigh, strip off the interesting parts, make it unrecognizeable with bad paint, build it up with some parts from the Peugeot and the Takara you stole last week ... "
FWIW, in addition to the above products, I've had good luck with Quick-Glo for the chromed bits ...
