I thought it would be good to share some more of my recent finds with the list. All items are priced in $. Postage will be extra charged at cost. Enquire for actual cost if you like before deciding. GB HIDUMINIUM BRAKESET COMPLETE This is a GB HIduminium brakest in excellent condition complete with the correct original style levers. These are a rare item and are perfect for a British bike of the period. $125

SOUTH OF FRANCE BARS 1950s One pair of excellent Strata South of France bars based on the design popularised by Vietto, the top French rider. Strata were one of a number of British cycle component companies that sprang up at the end of WWII. $65

1947/8 RALEIGH CATALOGUE Offered for sale is a very good copy of Raleigh¹s 1947/48 catalogue. This was their first post-WWII catalogue and contained all their models from roadsters through to their top-end lightweight, the RRA. It is is beautifully illustrated and totally complete. The pages are clean though the cover is a fraction grubby. $30

1939 RALEIGH CATALOGUE Offered for sale is a very good copy of Raleigh¹s 1939 full catalogue containing their full range of models. The pages are all very clean exceptfor the RRA page which has some pencil notes and appears to have been left open there too. This is a great catalogue chock full of information. $25

RUBBER HANDLEBAR GRIPS Similar in shape to short Constrictor Shockstops but not as soft Bargain at $15

SMALL FRONT RACK (NOS) to fit to brake centre bolt - in the same style as some of those racks that fit Mafac brakes but fits centre brake bolt instead of calliper arm bolts. Perfect $25

REYNOLDS WINGNUTS SET OF 4 NOS These are very rare and will be the perfect finishing touch for 1940s or 50s British classic lightweight. $55

STRONGLIGHT 49D CHAINSET 175mm cranks, TA adaptor ring with 53/46T chainrings. This is the earlier type of more slender 49D crank and comers complete with the stronglight caps. It is from the middle 1960s and is in excellent condition. The inner ring shows some wear but the outer ring is only lightly worn. A rare crankset in this length. $120

PLAYERS CYCLING CIGARETTE CARD SET 1939 Very clean copy with a complete set of cards which details cycling history from von Drais in 1817 right through to 1939 including recumbents from the 1930s. This set is in excellent condition - no rusty staples or badly stuck in cards. $40

UNIVERSAL EXTRA BRAKE CALLIPERS NOS They are in excellent condition and come complete with the original brake shoes. They have a drop of approx 42-54mm. $40

CYCLO BENELUX REAR DERAILLEUR Œ54-¹57 PATTERN for 5-speed 3/32in freewheel. Almost NOS shows virtually no wear and perfect chrome except for the hanger which shows some lifting. $75

HARDEN LARGE FLANGE DOUBLE FIXED HUBSET Excellent condition. Nicely polished to satin finish. 32/40 hole spoke drilling. Harden hubs are some of the best and easiest rolling hubs ever made in England. Harden hubs were manufactured in Britain between 1946 and about 1954. They use annular cartridge bearing ball races which are easily replaced when worn. The races are a standard Imperial size and can be obtained from any bearing merchant. The hubs are in very good condition - the bearings feel very smooth. The spoke holes have not been enlarged by loose spokes or being redrilled. The threads on the hub are in perfect condition. I rate these hubs as being the very best ever made in Britain. $165

BIANCHI/PIAGGIO CYCLE TOP UNUSED Offered for sale is an unused Bianchi/Piaggio cycle top size 2 - though it looks quite generously sized for a size 2. It was made from knitted acrylic by Gibbsport, a British clothing firm. A wonderful top for use by any Bianchi rider. $45

CONSTRICTOR SHOCKSTOP BLACK RUBBER GRIPS These are the short thick style as used on many British lightweight bikes of the 1930s. These are in very good order with just a little deterioation at one open end. Very rare. $35

FAUSTO COPPI BOOK c1972 This book was originally written by Salvatore Trence this is the Engliah edition published by the Kennedy Bros about 1972. It has lots of excellent photos and a rare must for any Coppi fan. 63pp Softback. It is in very good clean condition. $35

GNUTTI COTTERLESS CHAINSET This is an excellent Gnutti cotterless 3-arm chainset complete with 50/47T Gnutti chainrings. A NOS axle complete with the special bolts is supplied. The chrome on the cranks has some very light pitting but most importantly the splines on the cranks are not stretched and are an excellent fit on the axle. This chainset dates from the 1950s and is a great set to fit on most top quality road bikes from France, England or Italy from that era. A rare chainset. $145

LAMBERT CENTRE-PULL BRAKESET NOS levers and callipers, no straddle wires, bridges or stops. Perfect condition $45

1950s/60s STURMEY ARCHER 3-spd TRIGGER NOS This is a NOS Sturmey Archer all metal 3-speed trigger from the 1950s or 1960s and ideal for any bike from the period fitted with a Sturmey Archer AW, SW, AM or TCW hub gear. Perfect condition. $12
