In installing one of these bolt on trike conversion kits, the trick here is to NOT use duct tape or friction tape (it slips and gets gooey in heat) but use genuine FOMOCO stainless steel hose clamps. They bite in pretty good & get a grip on the host frame tubing.
I think it's probably wise to use some coarse emery cloth and "shoe shine" the painted areas underneath the section of seat stays to be clamped, so things won't slide about.
Also, you may need to create some clearances where trike stays and bits come too close to the stays. I recommend gently denting the host frame with a ball peen hammer to create safe clearances. A small bit of paint chipping may occur but don't worry. After all, safety first, right?
