Hi CR,
I'm Greg Yares, from Tucson Az., have been reading the list for a couple of years and
joined when the archives became restricted. I'm old enough to have
been riding with my feet locked in when many of the target bikes were
new,but only started in '93 via mountain biking for fitness, then road biking
to expand my range, and now an obsession that's its own therapy
I started working on my bikes, and learning to enjoy the variety of rides and
hardware, both old and new.I have a few bikes(not too many!)in various
states of repair/condition '62paramount road,'74viner,'87de rosa,91rb1,
95rivendell,recent r.sachs team,96 gilmour,and quite a few that aren't my size.
I put some through a rehabilitation program to help them become productive
machines again and avoid a fate of being sold for $15 a ton. This also supports my habit somewhat.
Now to the point.
