Buddy of mine (J.D. Edwards) left his treasured late 70s Pinarello with CK for a repaint. When they went under, someone called him to tell him that the CK guys were in downtown Colorado Springs, selling frames for peanuts out of the back of a pickup. He obtained permission from the Police for another friend to go into the shop to attempt to find his frame. Alas, it was lost. He did bring out a stripped Miyata Pro frame with engraving on the seatstay cap RRm that on passing glance might have been a P. I now have that Miyata, resplendent in turquoise with red cutouts. I call it my New Mexico frame. CK never settled with him, but later, I found a similar Pinarello for him. He has since ordered a custom frame from Brian Baylis, so perhaps he is over the loss of the Pinarello. J.D. held the cadence record or something like that at the Olympic Training Center in the late 70s. He was an alternate on the 1980 Olympic team that didn't get to go to Moscow. Lou Deeter, Orlando
