Remember these. My first english made Rudge drop handle bars came
with one. Very scarily when in fixed gear mode. Bought my first english
bicycle in 1951 and joined a Detroit biyclycle club (one of two in city
over 1,000,000 people). One day I deiced to be like a lot of the others
riders who rode fixed gear bikes some with a single brake and some none.
Very brave souls were these. Even though I had my brakes on and working
it was real scarily coming to a stop when the bicycle still wanted to
keep going and in heavy Detroit traffic. HELP I YELLED BUT NO USE AS I
