Subject: [CR]C-Record microadjustable polished Campy seat post

I was able to locate a local seller of a Campy (C-Record or so he says) 27.2 microadjustable , highly polished seat post. I am not knowledgeable on bike parts yet, as I have only belonged to this list for 6 months or so. Can someone please tell me what is the classification "C - Record" ? The thing is very pretty and the top part is fluted while the shaft and neck are polished to a chrome like shine. There is one 13 mm ? nut on the bottom which allows both tightening and adjusting. The bottom half of the clamping system wedges down on the neck section to allow for infinite adjustments as it pivots over the arched wedge. Supposedly the aluminum top has a steel helicoil to allow firm tightening. Under the neck it says "Brev. Inter. Campagnolo". The seller says that it is a post from circa mid 80's, so it is perfect for my particular bike.

Are these things a fine example of Campy engineering, or a bust? In NOS condition could it be worth 59 bucks? Garth Libre in semi sunny Surfside Fl. ( mid 70's temp.) with wind only allowing for a 22 mph pace.
