The Oscar Egg lugs were very au courant, as well as de rigeur, on the finest frames in that era. As is still the case today, their catalog offered so many variations that it was unlikely that rival framebuilders would make use of the same pattern lugs. Sometimes though, the builders would call in an order and ask for, " two Eggs, any style." At such times, frames from various builders would have similar details. It's true. I swear it. e-RICHIE
