Eric,

I believe it was around '82 when Sludis started being produced in the dark anodizing. I don't know the exact years for the Sludis introduction/end, but they were available for the entire decade of '80-'90. The badge came only on Sludis, and appeared from the beginning of the Sludi introduction, till the end. Yes, they did come in a polished version.

Next question for the list.....

I have a pair of NOS Nisi Sludi Mod 290 rims in a dark brown/greyish color. What year(s) are they from? They have a very pretty metal Nisi badge/emblem on them instead of the decal I've always seen in the past. Next question is, did just this model get the metal emblem or was that for a certain year they were made, etc. Lastly, could they be had with the metal emlem but in silver? If so, anyone have a set in silver for trade?

Thanks in advance,

Eric Elman
