Got it in one! Thanks to Brian, and all of the others who answered my plea for help, the little 'F' frame is now both comfy *and* quiet.

The handling will take some getting used to. Compared to any of my other bikes it's very twitchy - not quite dangerously so but I'd hate to try to handle it if I were really sleepy! Other than that, though, Brian's description is spot on - just a kick to tool around on.
