Can someone clarify my thoughts for me. In a recent message a list member suggested that riding a trike with smaller wheels would lower the centre of balance from that of a large wheeled trike. I would have thought that as the rider (say 90% of the mass, perhaps more in my case) would be in the same position relative to the ground, needed for crank clearance, that essentially the centre of gravity would be the same. In order to topple, the rider has to get this centre outside the point on the road where the tyre touches it (toppling side tyre). This would be the same for both trikes, assuming that the both have the same width between the rear wheels. The only difference would be if the larger wheels flexed in wards. Are my thought wrong here?
