I also got hit by the virus from Japan. It just sent a whole load of emails with attachments from the same source- an e-mail address I know to be Japanese. Fortunately Outlook Express simply crashed on one of my inboxes and wouldn't let me back in. I simply deleted the inbox and then recreated it.

Oddly enough I stopped subscribing to the Topica Moulton site recently as it was always nearly always full of 'How do you put a cotterless chainset on a mark 3 Moulton.' questions!

The Mark 1 and 2 have a standard chainset, so any English thread cotterless will fit. There appear to be only two ways to put a cotterless on a mark 3 the one that Raleigh made from 70 -74. One is to use the axle from an early Raleigh Maverick mountain bike which also has the wider internal spacing. The other is to cut the bottom bracket width down by a couple of millimetere and re-cut the threads. This also means you have to re fix the mounting plates for the rear fork as they pivot on the BB. Any of the wider axles that appear at bikeswaps get gobbled up by Moultoneers. The Raleigh Maverick one is the only one, but there may be others. I've looked through some old copies of the Moultoneer, but I can't find the one that gives the internal measurement of the axle.

If anyone is looking for a good condition 28 spoke Sturmey 4 speed hub with trigger and cables for a Moulton, I have one for 25 GBP (37Dollars) plus post.
