BROOKS B17 NARROW OVAL BADGE SADDLE from the 1950s. Very Good condition. No pulling of leather at rivets or serious cracks at all. Lovely saddle which is a deep brown in colour. Logo clear, and saddle is not stretched. Complete with slightly rusty Brooks clip $120

LLOYDS SADDLEBAG SUPPORT This is a saddlebag support made from aluminium tubing that clips above the seatstay bridge to the inside of the seatstays. It is in excellent condition and was made in the early 1950s. They are highly recommended to prevent your saddlebag from rubbing on the wheel or mudguard. $30

LYOTARD MB23 MARCEL BERTHET PEDALS These are in very good condition with only a few marks to the chrome. The bearings feel very smooth. These are one of the most comfortable pedals for use with toeclips and straps ever made and are great on racing or touring bikes from the 1950s onwards. British threaded. $45

ZEUS SADDLE with brown suede top NOS perfect $40

CLIFF PETERS ALUMINIUM SPRINT CARRIERS very good condition these fit under your front wheel nuts and allow you to carry a spare set of wheels. They were much used in England to carry your best set of wheels to the track meeting or start of the time trial. $25

CINELLI STEEL TRACK STEM 10cm been nicely replated. Correct nose bolt and expander bolt. $65

KARRIMOR SADDLEBAG SUPPORT 1950s/60s the saddlebag straps to the support which has steel prongs that sit in the saddle bag strap holes of most Brooks saddles - not Brooks Pro or Sprinters though. And one strap - I normally use a toestrap - goes around the seatpin. It is 100% secure and quickly lifts off if you¹re shopping or stopping for liquid refreshment! $30

ZEUS GOLD FREEWHEEL 14-28T NOS NIB It is in perfect unmarked condition. British threaded. $35

H R MORRIS TOURING FRAME EXCELLENT It is sized 23.5in (c-to-top of seat lug) and the top tube is 22.75in (c-to -c). It has braze-ons for a rack rack and is fitted with a Campagnolo headset from the late 1980s. The lugs are beautifully filed and spear point stiffeners have been used on the seatstay bridge and on the inside of the fork blades. H R Morris was one of the top individual builders of frames in the UK - he set up in business in Walthamstow, East London in 1958; the shop closed in 1986/7. Campagnolo long slot rear dropouts are fitted. It has been recently refinished in yellow by API enamelling and has not been used since. The left hand fork blade has a mark from where a dynamo earth screw has made a small dent. There are one or two very small areas where some very light pitting can be seen under the paint if examined very closely - there appears to have no filler used when this frame was re-enamelled. Further details on H R Morris are available at http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British/Morris_HR_main.htm $275

CONSTRICTOR/SUPER CHAMPION MONDIAL GEAR c1951 NOS It is rumoured these were made by Huret for Super Champion as they are very similar to the Huret Tour de France. The one offered for sale is near perfect and is for a 4-speed freewheel. It is complete with lever and lovely thin gauge cable and has a very tatty box. These are very rare. $65

CAMPAGNOLO DOUBLE DOWN TUBE STOP NOS for use with Campag down tube controls. Perfect complete with bolt. $12

CYCLO STEERER DIE AND HANDLE This a complete Cyclo threader for standard 1in threaded steerers and is very useful if you have to thread down a steering column or restore damaged threads. The adjustable die is in very good condition. $30

CYCLO STURMEY 2-speed and 3-speed 1/8in converters. These enable you to double or treble the number of speeds your hub gear has in conjunction with a suitable derailleur. They fit onto any Sturmey Archer hub with a 3-spline driver. Any post-war Sturmey hub can have a 3-spline driver fitted as can any pre-war AW, AM, AT, AR, AF or FM hub. I can supply 3-spline drivers in anyone needs one at $12. The converters I have are a NOS 3-speed 16/19/23T at $35 and a secondhand with excellent 15/26T sprockets at $15

CAMPAGNOLO NUOVO RECORD 165mm CRANKSET - Very good condition with no deep marks or gouges. A very shallow mark on the back of the RH arm where a front derailleur has touched just a few times and both cranks have light Œpolishing¹ marks from a toestrap. Perfect threads and tapers of course. No rings. Dated 4 in circle indicating 1984. British threaded. $55

DOUBLE HANDLEBAR MOUNT BOTTLE CAGE chrome wire and strip complete with clips but chrome is quite rusty $25

STRONGLIGHT 49D CHAINSET with TA triple ringset 26/40/46T rings, 170mm cranks. These are in very good condition with no serious marks (just normal toestrap marks), perfect threads and tapers. They are the later, stronger wider/thicker section type which date I think from post-1970. The middle ring teeth shows plenty of wear and the outer ring is fairly well used but the inner ring shows only light wear. They are all perfetly useable. British threaded. $85

GB TOURIST BRAKE LEVERS These are flat handlebars and come complete with adjusters. They are in excellent condition. A rare item from the 1950s. $35

CYCLING HANDBOOK by A L Pullen 1st edition 1950 176pp If you want to know anything about the gears, brakes and frames of the 1950s the various Cycling Handbooks by Lon Pullen are the business. There were three editions 1950, 1953 and 1960 and all are sufficiently different that it is worth getting all three editions. There¹s a large section on Sturmey Archer gears and plenty on setting up various Cyclo, Osgear, Simplex and Constrictor gears which is copiously illustrated. It is full of facts with lovely details such as the weights of the various gears, handlebar specifications and masses else. In addition I have never found a mistake in the info supplied. These are quite rare these days. This copy has a tatty dustjacket but is otherwise excellent. $65

GB TOURMALET SHAPE BARS with nicely engraved central section. No bad scratches on engraved section but there is a gouge on the underside of where the stem is mounted and a further zigzag scratch on the underside of the bars below but not affecting the engraved section . A rare shape - similar bar decoration to commoner Ventoux shape. 14.5in wide c-to-c. $30

CAMPAGNOLO NUOVO RECORD SEATPIN 27.2mm - this is the later type with limit marking. It has no deep scores and is generally in very good condition. $45

CYCLO 4-speed 1/8in FREEWHEEL NOS 14/16/18/20T Absolutely perfect condition. A very useful set of ratios and suitable for use with any 4-speed 1/8in gear. $55

HURET CHALLENGER GEAR late 1970s/early 1980s NOS Perfect with instructions $20

30s/40s PATTERN TOECLIPS a pair of used toeclips with a rather lovely shape similar to Constrictor Boa clips. The Œloop¹ for the toestrap is slightly squashed on one clip but it will not show or present a problem once toestraps are fitted. The chrome is generally good on the outside of clips - one has some pitting on the inside of the clip. $20
