Subject: [CR]old french bike

I have been trying to identify the bike that I have purchased a few months ago.

here is the original message that I sent out.

I have what my bike shop calls a Peugeot. But the only part on the bike that has Peugeot on it is the stem. the head set is Zeus as well as the brakes, crank, and bottom bracket. It has a 105 front derailer (this must have been added on). Shimano 600 cassette and a simplex rear derailer. The shifters are campy super records ( I think). There is no decal on the top tube but the down tube has a decal that I can not read. I think it starts with A but it almost looks Greek (or something like that). does anyone has any idea what this bike could be. If you would like pictures just ask.

The latest things that I have found out are. The decal reads ALPINE. The bottom bracket is French threaded. The rear dropout is simplex and the shifters. I have gotten in contact with Peugeot and they say it is not a Peugeot.

At this put in time I am at a loss for what this bike is and it origin.

If any one has an idea to what this bike might be let me know.

Thank you.
