Hello there fellow classic bike owners, that includes all you french bike owners too!, Just FYI: For all of you planning a vacation to Afghanistan... don't do it! That place is an armpit! Nothing but dirt, and the roads aren't even worthy of a steel rimmed Peugeot. I did, however see one bike that was pretty cool. It was a Higgins balloon tire bike that was near mint condition. Go figure how it got there. Anyways, it is great to be home. As for my surprise! First, let me say thank you to whom ever helped my wife acquire them. Second, I need to know who sent the mint condition, long reach, I could never find, Campy brakeset. I not only want to thank you for your generocity, I also want to pay you for them. I still don't know why I couldn't ever find a decent set and my wife finds a set with virtually no problems. Again, thank you all for the help you gave my wife in locating the brakes. She said it was fun... who knows, maybe she will gain a new interest in bikes! Am I just a wishful thinker? Also, Colleen said that many of you said, typed that is, some very nice things to her. She couldn't remember all the names, but here are a few: Chris Root, Paulie(female), Frank, Jim, and Ed. I want to say that it was nice to know that you all were there for her even though you didn't really even know her. She says that she now knows why I spend so much time reading the Classic Rendezvous emails. Again, thank you all.
