These special items are offered for sale. All money taken for their sale will be donated towards a fund to build a road race circuit in Tommy Simpsons home town of Harworth, South Yorkshire. The items were donated by Toms close friend Albert, from the cafe Anglais in Gent, Belgium, where many British pro cyclists of the 50s and 60s based themselves. To commemorate Tom's world championship win in 1965, the gent wheeler sport cycle club had some beer mugs and ash trays made. Only 1000 were made, by a club member, who also made delft pottery. I am now trying to sell the few that remain, they were stored by Albert himself, until he gave them to me last Saturday. The tall beer mugs cost $105 (I think there are 4 in all) and the ash tray $70. (1 only) They are white with rainbow bands and a photo of Tom "printed" on to them. I have never seen these before, nor will we ever see any more. First come first served. I will make no profit from this and you will own a very rare piece of cycle racing history. Thank you for reading.
