Of course close inspection might result in a different answer, but that sounds to me like a great deal if all the correct parts are attached and it really is in good original condition. So many of these seem to be repainted... My bike's serial number is MC 55 0157, being a 55 CM and supposedly sequentially numbered as #157, or the 157th bike. (I understand others may have been around before this system was implemented?) But for sure it is early 1970s.. The number would mean this For_sale bike is a 57 CM and was made approximately (?) 179 bikes after mine? I wonder how many months of production would that be?
