According to Chuck Schmidt dating on Campag Nuovo Record derailleurs started in 1970. This one carries no markings whatsoever- how does this fit with the theory that rivet style pins were only a late feature? I have a NR rear derailleur with solid pins dated 1980. The body piece that the cage is mounted on is not Nuovo Record - it is not ribbed, it much more like a Gran Sport Nuovo part. So what is being suggested is that this derailleur plus the similar NOS NIB one that turned up earlier this year were both put together from parts from three different derailleurs by someone. It seems an awful lot of trouble to go to and a lot of coincidences. Regards
