Hi All, I Too have 2 Stevenson's. One is a semicustom tandem and the other is a fuul custom. Bill was actually the product manager for Ross during the time period we have recently been discussing. He tells a story of how the crew filled one of their riding buddies seat tube with shot because he was being a real snot. He also was the product manager for Fisher bicycles before the Trek buyout. I don't think the statuet of limitations has run out for the best stories involving Mr Fisher... Bill studied under and built for Albert Eisentraught after the Masi time period. He built a number of the "limited" bikes in the pacific NW. He still manages The Bike Stand in Olympia and builds frames with his son Sean. He primarily builds using True Temper tubing(mine is OXIV Gold) and works with silver solder. He is the only builder that I know to be Reynolds 753 certified for fillet braseing. My Stevenson is lugged using highly modified "Bikini" type lugs. All of the points aim into a heart or are cut into one. The top of my seat stays are finished with a cut in piece of tubeing rather then a plug. Painted Campagnolo blue with yellow panals and highlights. I would call it a classic bike with new tubes and parts. I can look at it for hours.... Now back to our regular programming, Garry Nold Cold and wet in Olympia WA today.
