Hi List,

One of my recollections visiting the Rene Herse shop back in 1983 was the fact it was very small, clean, tidy and had just 5 bicycles. OF these 5 bicycles, each were unlike anything I had ever seen before. I decided to order 3 of them in one machine as I could not afford all three.

On topic I might add that 4 of the 5 bikes were unique touring machines, the 5th a Campag NR equipped racer with a claimed weight of 17 lbs, lugless bristling with Reynolds 753 stickers. At the time it was well known that certification was required and construction must be done in silver. I know not whether this particular construction was either.
