I am sure there were some quality frames built at the paris sport shop but I was not one of the lucky ones to get one. In the early 80's I ordered a custom frame for my girl friend with a 51 top tube and a 48 seat tube, columbus tubes and campy drop outs. There was not one thing that I asked for on the frame and the seat tube looked like tide riples on the beach. Mike insisted that it was columbus tubing until I told him I could see the vitus stamp through the paint. I would have taken the poor workmanship but the size was not what I asked for and I didn't like being lied to about the tube brand. On the bright side Mike did give me a full refund and we purchased a vitus from another company. On the other hand Mike did put on a great bike race and was a great patron of cycling in the north east. ------------------------------------------ Gian in oakland ca. ------------------------------------------
