After the Olympics , Pierfranco Vianelli was a professional racer for several years. In mid 1970s he opened a shop near Brescia . Vianelli was( is?) a famous brand around Brescia.

I believe Bob Reid was asking about cycling results in the '68 Olympics in Mexico City.

I'm afraid there isn't much information out there on the 68 Olympics, but the results in the mens road race were:

Pierfranco Vianelli, ITA Leif Mortenson, DEN Gosta Petterson, SWE

I recall hearing Petterson's name in connection with professional racing, I believe in the Giro, but I have no info on the later careers of Vianelli and Mortenson. Do these names trigger memories for anyone else?
