Hi Walt,

Happy birthday when it comes!

I was sceptical of framesaver for the reason you mentioned-who ever saw a frame rust from the inside out? Then I started to think about it a bit. My two sons are nine and eleven and my daughter is two-and-a-half and I want them to inherit by collection of bikes. I will then order them from beyond the grave to make sure their children look after them, and so on.

The frames won't rust out in my lifetime but will they last more than a hundred years? Their chances can only be improved by using something inside the frame tubes. My intention is to make it a winter project and I'll be using Waxoyl which is widely used in the car industry for aftermarket treatment of car chassis, etc.

From being in the "what's the point of framesaver" camp, I'm now firmly a member of the "it can't do any harm" lobby.

Hope everything's going well for you and you enjoy riding your new toy!

Cheers,
Bruce
