Subject: [CR]Caddilac Esquilade, no comparison to a classic bike

Someone, who should remain nameless, has made the error of comparing the suppleness and comfort of a Cadillac Esquilade to the gestalt of a classic road bike. First, I consider that only the beauty of a pared down sports car could ever even enter into a comparison with a classic road bike. We do not load our classic bikes with heavy, gimmicky and unneeded items. Our bikes are beautiful because they represent economy, minimalism and art, all at the same time. A classic sports car that has no heater, no air-conditioning, no radio, no electric windows or seats, no on-board computer, no power steering, and huge heavy wheels or anti lock brakes.

These heavy SUV's are worse than anything that has ever been dreamed up by the bike industry. They isolate rather than unite the rider and steed. They insulate, rather than increase sensation. They make their occupants grow fat and dull with every passing mile. The frames are constructed in an assembly line and not hand welded or filed down. There are modern classic cars, but they are few and far between. The bicycle, like the mechanical movement watch and the gun, are some of the few items for sale where every mm of metal has thought out and re thought out, and pared down to final statement of Japanese MU. Less is more in the bike world. This is far from true in any Cadillac. Respectfully Garth Libre in Surfside Fl. (P.S. I am not a fan of classic guns. I just realize that such a thing exists)
